This was a goofy day. We started with brunch at a funky little restaurant on a side street called Honey and Oats. It looked like it was probably a storefront at some point, but now it had five tables for four and a long table seating ten in the middle of the space. The staff were great, the food innovative (which is hard to do with eggs) and the coffee was amazing.
After breakfast we headed out to play mini golf. We played 18 holes, acted silly and laughed a lot. Mini golf will definitely be on the list for the Jamieson Armstrong camping trip.
The day was hot and sunny (as the days have been throughout our trip) and there wasn’t much shade on the mini golf site, so after we finished our game we cooled off with bumper boats. Small space, a dozen bumper boats and a bunch of strangers trying to shoot each other with water guns. Wonderful fun, and yes, we got very wet!
After a quick trip back to the resort to pick up cameras, we headed out to Qualicum Beach to look at – the beach. After driving the coast road we went into the town of Qualicum Beach and stopped at the Old School House Art Center for a quick look around as it was almost four thirty, their closing time.
A totally enjoyable day!
