Photos

Unless specified, all photos were taken using a Canon Eos Rebel T3. I used two lenses, the standard 18-5 mm and a 75-300 mm telephoto.

I have used Photoshop CS5.5 to crop and resize the images I’ve used.

Over the course of the vacation we took many organized tours. That meant we were often travelling from place to place on a bus. We’ve always done driving holidays and I have a great time taking pictures out the front window of the car. On this vacation I was sitting in a tour bus and taking pictures out the window beside me but the idea was the same.

Many of the photos I took will never see the light of day. They were meant to be a record, a memory jog for me to use for reference after we came home. Some, however, turned out great, like the photo of the walls of Tiryns in the header. We passed the site during the tour to Mycenae and Epidaurus, but the bus didn’t stop. I would never have had a record of the place if I hadn’t grabbed a ‘through the window shot.’
